Jakarta –
Issues emerged that again dragged the name of the NasDem presidential candidate, Anies Baswedan, related to the momentum of the 2017 DKI Pilkada. This time, it was rumored that Anies was involved in a loan agreement of up to IDR 50 billion with his former candidate pair, Sandiaga Uno.
This was initially opened to the public by the former Timses Anies-Sandi in the 2017 DKI Pilkada, who is now also the Headtum of Golkar, Erwin Aksa. Erwin Aksa said Anies signed letters to borrow up to Rp 50 billion in the agreement with Sandiaga.
Erwin said that the money was needed so that the logistics would run smoothly in winning the 2017 DKI Pilgub. Erwin said that the loan agreement letter was drawn up by Rikrik Rizkiyana, Sandiaga’s lawyer at the time.
“That was during the first round, yes. Logistics was also difficult. So, yes, it’s Sandi who has the logistics. Sandi has lots of shares, good liquidity, and so on. Yes, there is one more agreement, which I think is the one in Mr. Rikrik’s ,” Erwin said in an interview on Akbar Faizal’s YouTube account. Confirmed on Sunday (5/2/2023), Erwin Aksa allowed his statement to be quoted.
Erwin revealed the contents of the agreement. According to him, the letter contained Anies’ agreement to borrow money from Sandiaga.
“The point is, if I’m not mistaken, it’s a debt agreement, maybe yes. Yes, of course those who have money give debt to those who don’t have money. That’s more or less the case. Because the one with liquidity, Mr. Sandi then gave a loan to Mr. Anies,” he said.
According to Erwin, the logistical situation during the first round of the 2017 DKI Pilkada was still difficult. He said the nominal debt reached Rp 50 billion.
“Because at that time it was the first round, right, his name was also limping at that time. So that’s about it. I saw that one. And it was in Pak Rikrik’s. What was the value, yes, Rp. 50 billion, maybe. ?) I don’t think it’s possible yet, huh,” he said.
Interviewed separately, Erwin said he only saw the agreement. He said the letter regarding the loan agreement was in Rikrik’s hands.
“I just saw. The one holding all of Mr Sandi’s lawyers is Mr Rikrik,” said Erwin Aksa when contacted.
“(Rikrik) Not only knows. Mr. Rikrik kept the agreement. I just saw it. I also don’t understand why there was an agreement,” he added.
Erwin admits that he doesn’t know anything about the continuation of the loan agreement at this point.
“Yes, when I saw that (Rp. 50 billion). I don’t know now. I don’t know if that (the agreement is still ongoing or not),” he said.
