German Attorney General Peter Frank said on Sunday that his office had collected “hundreds” of evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian army in Ukraine and that an international effort was needed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“Right now, we are focusing on Bucha and the attacks on Ukrainian civil infrastructure,” Frank said in a conversation with the “Welt am Sonntag” newspaper.
He revealed that most of the evidence was obtained by interviewing Ukrainian refugees and that the main goal now is to “prepare a possible later court case,” which could be heard either by Germany or another country or an international court.
