Taiwan microchip maker Foxconn Technology (Hon Hai Precision Industry) revenue reached in January, 660.4 billion Taiwan dollars ($22 billion). This is not only 48.2% better than last year, but also a record high for the company in January. Compared to December, revenue increased by almost 5%.
According to the company’s report, the increase in revenue is primarily due to the restoration of production at a plant in the Chinese city of Zhengzhou, where large-scale protests erupted in late November. This plant is the world’s largest enterprise for the production of iPhone smartphones. Besides growth of revenue is shown by division of computing technology.
The company previously reported record revenue for 2022. Last year, it reached $215.84 billion, up 10.5% from 2021.
Analysts polled by Refinitiv believe that in the first quarter of 2023, the manufacturer’s revenue will grow by 4% compared to last year.
