British intelligence reported on Sunday that Ukrainian forces in Bakhmut are becoming increasingly isolated as the Russians slowly advance to encircle the town.
“The main roads leading into the city are now apparently threatened by direct fire following the Russian advance. “Earlier this week, apparently, Wagner’s paramilitary group occupied the side roads connecting Bachmut with Siversko,” the intelligence said.
According to British intelligence, there are still other routes into the city through which Ukrainian troops can be supplied, but Bakhmut is increasingly isolated.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov reiterated that he expects a major Russian offensive in February because Russians like symbols.
