The Ministry of Health and Population directed a number of advice to contribute to protecting citizens from health complications resulting from the wave of bad weather. and loaded wind dust, which the country is witnessing.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that citizens who are most vulnerable to health problems, such as patients with chest allergies and those who suffer from shortness of breath or problems in the airways, should avoid leaving the house in light of dust storms, except in cases of necessity, while covering the nose and wearing heavy clothing.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed the need to wear a mask while leaving homes in the presence of a dust storm, to avoid dust entering the airways, as well as the need to sit in well-ventilated places, and to stay away from crowded places to avoid the feeling of suffocation.
He added that at least two liters of water should be drunk to improve blood flow to the lungs, while taking care to eat foods that raise immunity, such as foods rich in vitamin C and E, and eat more vegetables and fruits.
Abdul Ghaffar advised the need to close the windows of the houses well to prevent dirt and dust from entering the rooms, and to take care of the cleanliness of the house floors and all surfaces and wipe them with detergents and disinfectants, and allergy patients should take medicines on time according to the doctor’s instructions.
