Sony has sent an email to PS Plus subscribers informing them that they are ending the PS Plus collection as of May 9, 2023. Players with an active subscription prior to this date may have time to claim games to their library and then play them anytime with an active PS Plus.
In total, the collection includes 19 different hits from PS4:
-
Batman: Arkham Knight
-
Battlefield 1
-
Bloodborne
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Zombie Chronicles Edition
-
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
-
Days Gone
-
Detroit: Become Human
-
Fallout 4
-
Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition
-
God of War (2018)
-
Infamous: Second Son
-
The Last Guardian
-
The Last of Us Remastered
-
Monster Hunter: World
-
Mortal Kombat X
-
Ratchet & Clank (2016)
-
Resident Evil VII: Biohazard
-
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
-
Until Dawn
The reason for this move remains unknown. Previously, Sony slightly changed its composition. For example, Persona 5 left the collection last year.
Most of these games are included in the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers. Perhaps this is how Sony optimizes its services to encourage players to upgrade to higher subscription levels.
