Humor, truffles or orchids… A selection to enjoy the weekend around Nîmes.
Amine Radi at the laughter fair
He started as a teenager, posting a video on the internet mainly to amuse his friends. Today, Amine Radi has millions of views. After moving from Casablanca to Paris to become an accountant, the young man, now 27, took the tangent and dropped finances to write a first show, He slept, which will become its slogan. Today, he is back on stage with Amine Radi, the comedian expert. With dynamism and a communicative smile, he shares his unique adventure, his rise, his discovery of France, of his native country.
A weekend around the truffle
After Uzès, it is in Nîmes, in the heart of the Ecusson, that the truffle growers settle to discover the flavors and culture of the black diamond of the Garrigue scrubland. For this 15th truffle festival, on the Place du Marché, for three days, gourmets have an appointment with a local market offering truffle products but also cheeses, charcuterie and local sweets. Also on the program are digging demonstrations and special menus in many of the event’s partner restaurants.
The duo BigFlo & Oli in concert at Paloma
The BigFlo & Oli duo is the story of two brothers with precocious, insolent and refreshing talent, two artists who passionately love the stage and who have been accumulating diamond records for several years. After a short media break, the two Toulousians return with a new project The others are us. On this intimate record, they do not hesitate to reveal a form of vulnerability, returning introspectively to questions such as the place of art, identity, celebrity. The album welcomes many guests, rap heavyweights or pop stars, from Vald to Francis Cabrel or MC Solaar. Having filled the big halls for years, they embarked on a tour intended as a moment of closeness and complicity with the public. It is full almost everywhere. This is also the case in Nîmes…
The Orchid Room
For the 21st time, orchids are back in Vergèze and amateurs have an appointment with an international show bringing together nine exhibitors-amateurs, including an Italian, a Spaniard and an Ecuadorian. Other exhibitors and associations will offer to complete the sensory journey. Also on the program during the weekend, potting workshops, culture advice, conferences and decoration highlighting the heritage of Occitania.
Mano at Telemac
He is still a high school student at Philippe-Lamour and already on stage! Mano is Freewheeling this weekend at Télémac, after filling the room for the first time in the fall. For this one on stage, the young comedian from Gard has built a crazy and electric show around a single theme: human bullshit. And here is a subject that gives food for thought, laughs and writes… Between racism, homophobia, natural selection, ecology, consumer society and even the world championship of extinguishing candles with the anus, this great admirer of Raymond Devos plays with words and offers humor that also offers a look at the world in which he grows up…
