These 5 Weird Hypotheses Might Be Proven in the Future

Science Of course you can’t predict the future because there are so many possibilities and complicated variables that have to be solved. However, science actually has predictions or estimates that might describe how conditions will be in the future. Well, one of them is through theories or hypotheses from scientists about many things that cannot be understood by human logic today.

If you like science and scientific futuristic things, maybe you can listen to this article to broaden your horizons. Do you think the unreasonable hypothesis below can be proven in the future or not, huh?

1. Humans come from aliens

There are several ideas and hypotheses which suggest that humans came from aliens outside Earth. This opinion does seem absurd like fantasy in fictional films.

Reported Scientific American, Humans are very unique creatures because they are able to store, produce, exploit, and disseminate information, both stored in genetics and outside the mind. Information obtained from human reason and genetics is also believed to have occurred when early humans might have encountered aliens in the past.

In fact, there is an extreme opinion that states that humans really come from outside the Earth, aka alien planets far at the end of the universe. We are also placed by something bigger.

Well, of course all of this is just an opinion and a hypothesis whose truth is very difficult to prove. In his writings, a Columbia University astrobiologist named Caleb A. Scharf argues that humans cannot be separated from information that has become an integral part of human beings themselves. The question is, who imparted that information? Perhaps the answer will be revealed in the future.

2. Time-traveling in the future

Is time travel possible? I do not know, what is clear is still in the realm of debate. However, in theory, time travel is indeed possible as long as all the existing variables can be fulfilled perfectly.

There are many tests and facts on the ground that can support arguments about time travel. One of them is the test of placing two twin astronauts in outer space with very fast movement.

Site Space mentions that the first astronaut (Scott Kelly) spent 520 days in orbit at a speed of 28 thousand kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, his twin brother, the second astronaut (Mark Kelly) was placed in space for 54 days. Well, the difference in the speed of time that occurs when they are in orbit and outer space has widened their age gap.

Initially Mark was only 6 minutes older than Scott. After the trial, Mark is now 6 minutes and 5 milliseconds older than Scott. It looks very small, but when it is run at high speeds approaching the speed of light (300 thousand km per second), the age of the two of them can be years or even decades apart.

Multiverse or the multiverse is still a subject of endless debate because its existence has yet to be proven. However, some theories and hypotheses suggest that the energy that caused our universe’s bubble to appear, could have given rise to other bubbles.

At least, the concept of this kind of modeling has been expressed by Matthew Johnson from Perimeter Associate Faculty. Now imagine when there is hot energy that boils water and many bubbles appear which eventually disappear after experiencing a period of maximum development. Yup, such is the analogy of the universe and multiverse in this hypothesis.

Well, noted in National Geographic, a multiverse concept that might still make sense is related to the inflation of the universe. In this concept, energy will cause the universe to inflate without limit. This inflation eventually gave rise to new universes as a logical consequence of the Big Bang.

4. Live in eternity

In the future it is predicted that humans will have a much longer life expectancy. Some deadly diseases have also found a cure. However, when scientists talk about eternal life, it will sound absurd and contradict the natural nature of humans themselves. Make no mistake, this has been imagined by science experts, you know.

A small example when we imagine that hydra (simple organisms) that live in water. Yes, this creature is a biological organism that has a very long life, almost near immortality.

Of course, maybe in the future there could be research that combines human and hydra DNA. Unfortunately, this was denied by Professor Daniel Martínez who stated that the human body is too complex.

However, eternal life may occur when technology has reached a very advanced point, as discussed in Live Science. It is possible for humans to copy and scan their minds (brains) into non-biological bodies. Thoughts and all the data in our brains might be able to live eternally if supported by an immortal body.

5. Exceed the speed of light

Scientists have confirmed that no object with mass can move more than light. The speed of light is about 300 thousand kilometers per second. Of course it is impossible for objects with mass if forced to move equal or even exceed light.

However, there is an idea or hypothesis which states that there are actually objects that can move faster than the speed of light. This subatomic object called Tachyon is still being debated because its proof is deemed quite impossible. Described on the page Britannica, the existence of this particle is still limited to a hypothesis even though the calculation is physically possible.

So, there is a possibility that in the future, Tachyon particles can be proven for real. If this really happened, there are many current physics theories that would fall by themselves because the laws of nature would no longer be the same. However, who knows when scientists can prove this strange hypothesis to be true.

Talking about hypotheses that sound absurd and strange will tickle us to find the answer. Our curiosity about the universe is so great that it gives rise to a seemingly limitless search for science. What do you think? Which hypothesis will be realized in the future?
