The centuries of opener David Malan (118 off 114 balls with six sixes and seven fours) and captain Jos Buttler (131 off 127 balls with seven sixes and six fours) brought England to a good level. England, who lost Jason Roy (one), Ben Duckett (0) and Harry Brooke (six), struggled to 14 for three.
The score reached 246 when Malan and Buttler broke the century partnership. Moeen Ali’s firework (41 off 23 balls including four sixes and two fours) also benefited them. South Africa won the series after winning the first two matches.
