Riyadh > The Transport Authority has signed an agreement to implement the indigenization of heavy driver posts in Saudi Arabia. The public transport department has signed the contract with Almajdui Company. The agreement was signed in a ceremony held at the authority office. This will be a heavy blow to foreigners who are engaged in the work of heavy drivers in Saudi Arabia.
The company will provide necessary support and assistance to the Saudiization project in the transport logistics sector and to provide employment opportunities for more Saudi nationals in the logistics sector. The company will provide facilities to teach, train and take driving license. The company will also get help from Hadaf Fund.
The Transport Authority said the agreement aims to reduce the unemployment rate, develop jobs for Saudi workers and raise the level of skills of the workforce.
