However, this habit apparently is not recommended by doctors. General Chairperson of the Indonesian Obstetrics and Gynecology Association (POGI), Prof. Dr. dr. Yudi M Hidayat, SpOG, Subsp, Onk, D, MAS, MKes said that the use of toilet spray for women can increase the risk of sexual organ health problems. Moreover, if a woman cleans her vagina to the inside.

Furthermore, Dr. Yudi revealed that this could interfere with the acidic nature of the vagina. The acidic nature of the vagina is very useful for blocking germs from entering the sexual organs.
“What happened? The vagina, which was acidic to back up, prevented other germs from entering, those that are not acid-resistant cannot enter,” said Dr. Yudi.
This habit, could have resulted in injuries to the mouth of the uterus. If that happens, the wound at the mouth of the uterus will later become a place for the virus to enter.
“For example showers and so on, the acidity of the vagina will be disrupted. This means that germs can enter and gnaw at the cervix. The mouth of the uterus will later become injured, that is where the virus enters the cervix,” explained Dr. Yudi.
Dr. Yudi also added that you can still clean your vagina after urinating, but only on the outside. No need to clean up to the inside.
“You don’t need to wash it until it has to be sprayed all the way inside. Just on the outside,” concluded Dr. Yudi.
