Here is an absurdity from the biggest ski resort

A resident of Plovdiv sent us a photo from the largest ski resort in Bulgaria – Bansko. We present to you his point of view and why he finds some things there absurd.

The queue in the picture is for getting off from “Bunderitsa” towards Bansko. The track leading down is closed. The only way to get down is to stand in line and after about two hours get on the lift.

Also up there where there is enough snow the pistes are not groomed and only half actually work but no one tells you that down there when you pay for all of them“, he adds in his signal.

In December 2022, the Municipality of Bansko was visited by more than 55 thousand tourists, which is an increase of 49%, compared to the same period in 2021, when the guests of the winter resort were just over 37 thousand.

A significant growth was also observed in overnight stays from the sector.

In the last month of 2022, over 153,000 overnight stays were realized, and for 2021, they are just over 101,000. The domestic market remains the leader in December as well, with over 24,000 registrations of Bulgarians in accommodation, followed by the Greek market with 16,000, Romania – over 5,000, Great Britain – with nearly 2,000 registrations each.

The most sensitive is the increase in the Israeli and Greek markets, analyzing the previous year’s December month.
