The eagerly awaited sensational transfer of the five-time Champions League winner Isco to Union Berlin burst on the home stretch. The confirmed manager Oliver Ruhnert on Tuesday afternoon. “We would have liked to have seen Isco with us, but we have our limits. These were exceeded today, contrary to the previous agreements, which is why the transfer does not take place,” said Ruhnert.
The clubless 30-year-old playmaker Isco had already been sighted in the morning at the medical check-up in the German capital. Apparently, a contract until 2024 was under discussion. The image quoted Isco’s consulting agency foundation: “During the course of the talks, we had to realize that our negotiating partner was no longer willing to move within the framework originally discussed.”
Isco was at FC Valencia trained and came across the FC Málaga to Real Madrid. He made 353 appearances for Los Blancos between 2013 and 2022. He scored 53 goals and 57 assists. He stood by for four months until December FC Sevilla under contract. He would have been Union’s most notable newcomer in club history. (sid)
