Desjoyaux swimming pools have a new R&D center

A new R&D center will grow on the industrial site of Desjoyaux swimming pools, in La Fouillouse, near Saint-Etienne (Loire). The French swimming pool leader is investing between 2 and 3 million euros to extend its test rooms and relocate its around thirty technicians and engineers. Owner of some thirty patents, Desjoyaux devotes more or less 3 million euros per year to its R&D around materials, filtration and assembly systems.

Started last fall, this project will be completed by the end of the year. The new 1,500 m building² integrates a more global program of 25 million euros of investment. Despite the slowdown observed since the start of the school year in September, this family-owned ETI listed on the Stock Exchange is maintaining the pace. In the factory, which employs 205 people 7 days a week, it is automating its line of injection presses, “to reduce the energy bill by 30%”, indicates Jean-Louis Desjoyaux, its president, who has just closed the 2022 financial year. on a stable turnover, at 160.5 million euros, and an operating profit of 28 million.
