Al-Rai learned from health sources that the campaign will be launched in 16 primary health care centers, in parallel with organizing a training program, on Tuesday, for health workers involved in administering the vaccine.

The Public Health Department identified the centers that will provide the service, and in the Capital Health Region, they included: Sheikha Fattouh Salman Al-Sabah Health Center in Shamiya, Jassim Al-Wazzan Health Center in Mansouriya, and Jaber Al-Ahmad Health Center 1, while in the Hawally region, it included the Salwa Specialist Health Center, Mahmoud Haji Haider Health Center, and Rumaithiya Specialist. .

Al-Omariya, Abdullah Al-Mubarak and Al-Andalus health centers were also allocated in the Farwaniya region, Al-Fintas and Fahaheel specialized health centers in Al-Ahmadi region, and Al-Adan specialized center in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area, while Al-Naeem, Al-Oyoun and Saad Al-Abdullah health centers “Plot 10” were identified in the Jahra region.

The Abd al-Rahman al-Zaid Health Center in West Mishref was designated to provide the vaccination service for the booster dose for ages between 12 and 18 years, and the first and second dose for those aged 5 years and over.

Health sources suggested that the booster dose of the bivalent “Corona” vaccine would become seasonal on an annual basis, to continue enhancing community immunity, stressing the importance of the new dose of the bivalent vaccine in enhancing immunity against the basic Covid-19 virus machines and the Omicron mutated strains, which represent most cases. existing ones.

The sources explained to Al-Rai that the changes or mutations that occur in the Corona virus may require seasonal vaccines annually, in order to keep pace with the rapidly changing nature of viruses, noting that the rapid changes that occur in influenza viruses, for example, require the introduction of new vaccines annually. to keep up with the changes.
