If you own one of these two brands, you will see “Casco” through a crooked macaron VIDEO

In the US, major insurance companies are refusing service to Hyundai and Kia car owners. The main and only reason for the refusal is the sharp increase in the number of thefts, reports the website CarBuzz, quoted by Facts bg.

Major insurance companies are refusing to issue new “Casco” policies for many Kia and Hyundai models, with the most refusals in St. Louis, Missouri. As we have told you many times, the increase in the number of thefts of these cars is due to “viral” videos on TikTok detailing how to easily unlock and start a model from the two Korean brands.

In St. Louis, the number of Kia and Hyundai car thefts increased by 1,450% in 2022. Last year, 3,958 cars from these brands were stolen. Videos that have become hugely popular on TikTok show how to steal a Kia or Hyundai using a screwdriver and a USB charging cable.

The theft method can be used on Kia and Hyundai models, since manufacturers have not installed engine immobilizers and electrical anti-theft devices on their models. Most likely, the manufacturer will have to recall the models and retrofit them with the necessary electronics.
