Baby – Masterclass im Silbersaal

This is what the organizer says:

The normal madness of having children

With great productions from the master’s program Musical enriches the Theater Academy August Everding since 2015 the program in our historic silver hall. This year stands with me Baby a musical about the normal madness of having children is on the program.

We are (not) having a baby – what now?

Three very different couples and their desire to have children: The Broadway musical Baby by David Shire tells a funny, cheeky and touching story about how much life and relationships will change as a result of the “most natural wonder in the world”. The unmarried students Lizzie and Danny move into their first apartment together, the established couple Arlene and Alan return with a hangover from their wedding anniversary celebration at a 5-star hotel, the two trainers Nick and Pam wake up hoping that it will finally worked…

And then it goes boom! And it becomes clear – they will (not) have a baby. But what now? Child? Yes or no? If so, when? And if it doesn’t work, what then? With music that blends different styles, Baby tells the story of the normal madness that sets in when a couple becomes pregnant.

The master class in the silver hall

Since 2015, together with the Theater Academy August Everding, we have been presenting the Masterclass in the silver hall. In pieces, like Into The Woods, Marry Me A Little, John & Jen, of own production Palace of Smiles and last year Little Shop of Horrors can the graduates of the Master’s degree Musical put their skills to the test and the audience gets a first glimpse of the musical stars of tomorrow.
