‘Next in Fashion’ gets a second season with new presenter Gigi Hadid

The first season appeared three years ago Next in Fashion on Netflix. It was about Netflix’s own version of the popular Project Runway, in which different fashion designers compete against each other. The first season was hosted by fashion designer and stylist Tan France and top model Alexa Chung. The latter will be replaced by Gigi Hadid for the second season.

Great news for fashion fans, because there will be a second season after all Next in Fashion. In June 2020, about half a year after the first season appeared, the series was canceled by Netflix. But now the fashion program is being picked up for a second season. Tan France returns, but is assisted by a new co-presenter.

Next in Fashion

In Next in Fashion fashion designers from different corners of the world compete against each other in various assignments. In doing so, they must prove that they have what it takes to become the next great designer. The winner of the first season took home a cash prize of $ 250,000 (about 230,000 euros) and was allowed to release a collection with Net-a-Porter. It is not yet known whether the second season will have the same price.

Tan France van Queer Eye will be seen again as a presenter, but is now assisted by a new cohost. Top model Alexa Chung will be replaced by another top model for the second season. This is none other than Gigi Hadid. The trailer already shows that Tan and Gigi will become a hilarious presentation duo. The designers and some creations are also briefly shown. The second season of Next in Fashion will be available on Netflix from Friday, March 3, 2023.
