‘Michael’ will be Jafar’s first major film role. Someone who is already very proud is Katherine Jackson. The late Michael’s mother told Variety: “Jaafar embodies my son. It is so great to see him carry on the Jackson legacy of entertainers and artists.” Producer on duty, Graham King, claims that the casting team went on a global search for the perfect actor to play Michael. “I met Jaafar over two years ago and was blown away by the way he personifies Michael’s spirit and personality. It was so powerful that even after a worldwide search it was clear that he is the only person who can take on this role. I am beyond thrilled that he will be playing his uncle and I can’t wait for the world to see him on the big screen as Michael Jackson.”

The film will tell the story of a young man who was bombarded to become the King of Pop. According to the makers, the story contains all aspects of Jackson’s life. “Including his most iconic performances that propelled him to become the greatest entertainer of all time.”
