MEXICO CITY, 30th January / WAM / His Excellency Ahmed Hatem Al Menhali, UAE Ambassador to the United Mexican States, participated in a ceremony commemorating and documenting Mexico’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, within the National Archives, in the presence of His Excellency Marcelo Ebrard, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.
His Excellency delivered a speech in which he affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, and the existence of many opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields of common interest, and once again congratulated Mexico on its victory in the interior design category during its participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
In his speech, His Excellency touched on the declaration of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” 2023 as the year of sustainability, in addition to the UAE hosting the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change at its twenty-eighth session, COP28, stressing that the country adopts a vision A pioneering climate-focused futurist that invests heavily in renewable energy sources to reduce climate change and promote sustainable economic growth.
