Despite his age, the actor continues to act.
Tobias Moretti was remembered by Russians for his role in the detective series Commissar Rex. The character of the stately brunette Richard Moser from the Austrian police, as well as his brilliant duet with the police dog, who, together with him, figured out the villains, won the recognition and love of many viewers. They were also touched by Richard’s touching friendship with Rex, who, according to the plot, took the shepherd dog home despite the objections of dog handlers, and buns with sausage – Rex cleverly stole them.
25 years have passed since then, and the handsome intellectual detective from the screen in Tobias Moretti is now unrecognizable. A luxurious mop of blue-black hair was replaced by a short haircut with gray hair at the temples, a haggard face, and wrinkles covered her forehead.
The age of 63 is not a hindrance to the Austrian’s film career: he starred in several historical films about the Nazi past of Germany, thrillers (“House”) and comedies (“Vampire on the couch”). Moretti plays five musical instruments, including the organ, enjoys rock climbing and cooking. He lives on his own farm near Innsbruck with his wife and three children.
