Last autumn, it crashed Synnøve Skarbø (51), Vanessa Rudjord (46) and Pia Tjelta (45). The reason was that the three friends announced that they were going to start up what they referred to as “Nord’s leading clinic in aesthetic medicine”, called Nomi.
– Regrets then into the hemp
Afterwards, the trio also received criticism for mixing in the term “women’s health”, as well as a quote from the press release about “aging like a Jaguar E-type and not something from a rent-a-wreck”. They finally chose to withdraw from the clinic.
In a recent episode of the podcast «Big 5 with Nils and Harald»Rudjord explains her side of the story – and how the criticism affected her afterwards.
Explains the process
To the presenters Nils Brenna (54) and Harald Eia (56), the former fashion editor says that they have not referred to beauty treatments as women’s health.
Reacts: – Very unfortunate
Rudjord explains that she, together with Tjelta and Skarbø, had lined up for an interview with DN, which was behind a paywall.
In the interview, what Rudjord refers to as a “women’s health quote” about the pelvic floor was given.
– 730 (website, journ.anm.) took that title, and had gone to Nomi’s website and then they had printed that you could take injections and aesthetic medicine, then they took it and wrote “#kvinnehelse”.
Se og Hør has tried to get in touch with Vanessa Rudjord, so far without success.
Frezer against celebrity friends
This was something, however, Rudjord says she thinks was a funny invention and says that she assumed that the website misunderstood on purpose for the sake of humor.
However, it would cause a stir. Many perceived that Rudjord, Tjelta and Skarbø referred to beauty clinics as women’s health, believes the 46-year-old.
– Can they throw acid in my face?
The criticism surrounding Nomi hit Rudjord hard. In the press release, she was quoted as “aging like a Jaguar E-type and not something from a rent-a-wreck”.
To Eia and Brenna, the 46-year-old explains that several drafts of the press release were made, and in one of them the quote “rent-a-wreck” was included.
– We were very nervous
– The first thing I replied there was that that quote is, first of all, very bad humor and something I would never say, and disgusting to all ladies. “It’s going out,” Rudjord is said to have said.
In the latest edition of the press release, the quote was not included.
However, an earlier version of the press release must have been sent out to VG, according to Rudjord.
When asked if she felt ashamed during the debate surrounding the “rent-a-wreck” quote, the former fashion editor answers in the affirmative.
After the diabetes talk: – Takes self-criticism
– It was mostly the “rent-a-wreck” quote, because then it was shameful that they should think I was such a badass with a bad sense of humor, and that people think I mean that about them. So when I went out the door, I just thought: “Ah, can they throw acid in my nose?”, almost, because then I didn’t dare meet the eyes of ladies.
