Jakarta –
The government will tighten the distribution of fuel types Pertalite. This was done through a revision of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 191 of 2014 which regulates the criteria for who is entitled to buy the RON 90 BBM.
Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji, explained that the initiative to revise the regulation is being transferred to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. For the transfer of the initiative required an administrative process.
He said the transfer process was underway. His party has also submitted a draft revision of this Perpres.
“Currently the initiative is in this ministry, previously in another ministry. Because the initiative has moved, an administrative process is needed. It has been submitted, it is currently being processed, including the draft has also been submitted to the authorities,” he said in a press conference at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jakarta, Monday (30/1/2023).
He said, until now there is no information if the revision was continued. The process that is currently underway is the transfer of initiatives.
“Right now we are still, there is no official statement that it can be continued. So our position is that we have handed over what is needed for the process of transferring initiatives,” he said.
Tutuka said that substantially the contents of the revision were final. However, he again said that currently his party was still waiting for an official decision regarding the transfer of the initiative.
“Regarding the substance, I think we are final. And that’s because we haven’t received authority or an official decision that the initiative is at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, we are still waiting on this,” he said.
