Her name is Simona Luleova from the village of Banya, she works in the capital’s 7th district police department, her sister told bTV. She declined to comment on the arrest but said her sister is innocent.
The detainee’s lawyer announced that she has already been charged with possession of high-risk narcotic substances, which is punishable by 1 to 6 years in prison and a fine of BGN 2 to 10 thousand. The defense refused more information, at least until her pretrial detention is scheduled .
Earlier today, the District Prosecutor’s Office – Blagoevgrad confirmed that the father of the detainee is a former police officer who has already retired. Our investigation revealed that he also had trouble with justice in 2013 when he fatally shot a man in the line of duty during a robbery. He was later fully acquitted by the court.
