Neustadt/Weinstrasse (dpa / lrs) – The police in Neustadt an der Weinstraße pulled the e-scooter of a 25-year-old out of circulation. A traffic check found that the e-scooter could reach a speed of up to 32 kilometers per hour. In addition, the required insurance sticker was missing, the investigators said on Sunday. The maximum speed allowed for e-scooters is 20 kilometers per hour. The vehicle was secured. The driver is now facing criminal proceedings for violating the Compulsory Insurance Act.
