Strike of January 31: here are the forecasts of the TCL, the network closes at 8:30 p.m.

The strike day of January 31, 2023, the second against pension reform, promises to be very popular in public transport. In the metropolis of Lyon, the network TCL will be very disrupted on Tuesday.

As on the first day, on January 19, the entire TCL network will be shut down at 8:30 p.m.. The metro will be severely disrupted with the closure of line B and less strong frequencies on the others, with the exception of line C.

Trams and buses will also be affected by reduced service frequencies. The T7 line will not be in service, according to Keolis.

At the national level, the circulation of TGV, TER and the transport network in Ile-de-France also promises to be very impacted by the strike.

Metro B closed, closing at 8:30 p.m. of the TCL network

  • Line A will run with a frequency of 4 min (up to 3 min 30 in peak hours)
  • Line B will not run – Relay buses will run from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a frequency of 10 minutes between Gare d’Oullins and Jean Macé
  • Line C will run normally
  • Line D will run with a frequency of 3 minutes

Due to the early closure of the network at 8:30 p.m., the usual time for the metro to come into service could be postponed to February 1, Keolis already warns. On January 19, the metro had opened later in the morning the day after the strike.

Fewer trams, line T7 at a standstill

  • The T1 line will run with a frequency of 10 to 15 minutes
  • The T2 line will run with a frequency of 10 to 15 minutes
  • The T3 line will run with a frequency of 15 to 22 minutes
  • The T4 line will run with a frequency of 15 minutes
  • The T5 line will run with a frequency of 20 to 25 minutes
  • The T6 line will run with a frequency of 15 to 20 minutes
  • The T7 line will not run

Tuesday at 2 p.m., a new demonstration against the pension reform will take place in the streets of Lyon at the call of 10 unions.
