The album “Vel” was also in the festival’s official selection. The book came out in 2021 and was an immediate success. The French version was released last fall. The book revolves around an artist and a model who cross paths in a drawing studio. Their relationship revolves around vulnerability and physicality, about watching and being watched.

The René Goscinny Prize has existed since 1988 and is a homage to the French comics screenwriter who died in 1977. Goscinny wrote screenplays for Lucky Luke and Asterix, among others. The prize was created by his widow. The winners receive a statuette and a cash prize of 2,500 euros.
