Today, January 29, 2023, around 2:00 p.m., a fire broke out in a parked car in the backyard of a company in the Freiburg-Nord industrial area. The fire spread to at least 5 other cars, with 5 cars burning out completely. The fire also damaged the exteriors of two buildings in close proximity. There was property damage of several hundred thousand euros; people were not injured. During the extinguishing work, there were minor impairments to road traffic. The investigation into the cause was taken up by the criminal police and is ongoing.
