In the book you emphasize that money can also be used to do something useful for society. What do you have in mind?
If you have a lot of money, it is often difficult to give some of it away because you quickly get used to a new level of wealth. Too few give something of it voluntarily, so politicians are called upon to do so. But if you either grew up with a lot of money or have the chance to earn a lot of money, I think you can and should get involved with people who are not so privileged. Those who live in financial security usually also have the mental capacity to think outside the box. People with little money often don’t have that. I worked for the NGO “My Basic Income” for a long time and met people there who were only able to think about other things than the daily struggle for survival with a fixed basic income. After all, prosperity in our society is not only generated by those who skim it off, but by everyone. And they should be helped to live financially secure.
