Berlin – On Saturday, a 26-year-old woman was attacked with a knife and seriously injured in Berlin-Neukölln. The perpetrator is on the run.
“Around 12:15 p.m., the woman was attacked by a previously unknown man and seriously injured with several stabs,” said a police spokesman.
The crime scene is on Schierker Strasse. The woman with a migration background is said to have been struck down with twelve knife wounds in front of a residential building, writes left-wing politician Ferat Kocak on his Instagram account.
Witnesses alerted the rescue workers, the crime scene was cordoned off. The seriously injured was treated on site by an emergency doctor and then operated on in a hospital.
The police are investigating aggravated assault. More information was not initially available.
