The cheat for Goldeneye 007 does not work on Xbox

Finally, RARE’s classic N64 game Goldeneye 007 has received a re-release. As of yesterday (January 28th at the time of writing), the game is available on Xbox and Nintendo Switch. However, the two versions differ slightly. One thing, for example, is that the Xbox version does not have online support, which the Nintendo version does. Another thing they discovered missing Polygon, is that the cheat codes from the N64 version to, among other things, unlock the extra levels in the game only work on the Switch version. It may be a bit tricky to translate the N64’s button presses for the codes to a Switch controller, but the codes are intact. However, it is unclear why they are removed in the Xbox version.
