French football club Marseille announced an agreement in principle for the Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Unai.
Unai will move to Marseille from Angers. The details of the deal were not disclosed.
Note that the Ukrainian football player Ruslan Malinovsky plays in Marseille.
Azzedine Unai became famous after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he, along with the Moroccan team, reached the semi-finals. Literally immediately after the end of the World Cup, the British media wrote that Leicester, West Ham and Wolverhampton were ready to sign the Moroccan midfielder in January.
Azzedine has made 15 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, but hasn’t scored.
