France has decided to extend checks to travelers from China.
The checks imposed in France on travelers from China which were to end on January 31 have been extended until February 15 “in view of the health evolution”according to a decree published on Saturday in the Official Journal.
Under a first decree of December 30 establishing health checks for flights from China, Chinese passengers aged eleven or over bound for French airports must, in particular, present a negative test for the detection of the virus of less than 48 hours.

As Chinese authorities have said infections have peaked, experts have warned of the possibility of a rise in cases in rural areas less equipped to deal with them as millions of Chinese move to find their families during the New Year holidays.
China abandoned its strict “zero COVID” policy in early December after protests over restrictions, allowing people to travel and the virus to spread rapidly across the country.
