A 34-year-old man is shot aboard a train on the N line in Manhattan.
The incident occurred around one in the morning on Saturday at the Canal Street and Broadway station.
According to police, two men got into a dispute.
After a struggle, one of them shot the other in the torso and arm before fleeing the station accompanied by a woman. The police are looking for both.
The reason for the dispute has not been established.
The incident comes just hours after Gov. Hochul and Mayor Adams announced that crime on the subway has decreased in recent months.
