we start with art is the title of the exhibition with photographs by Carlos Nestar, Eusebio Aláiz, Pablo Gutiérrez, Ana Escribano, haciarutasalvajes and Andrea Nesty, as well as painting (including digital painting) by Cristina Ibáñez, Ana Prieto, Ana Cristina Martínez, Gema Cinabrio, Jésica Campelo, Encarna Campesino, Likeamarmota, Araceli Larran, Tránsito Esteban and Carlos Cuenllas, which can be seen at the La Anunciata school, after having toured other educational centers such as Los Agustinos, Maristas San José and the CEIP Villa Romana.
It is about bringing authentic works of art closer to students. They are not reproductions, like the ones you see in books, nor are they displayed on a screen, but students can appreciate their scale and real colors, notice their textures, or appreciate, for example, the quality of the photographic paper.
The teachers of the Anunciata are not only showing the works to the students, but in many cases they have designed works related to the exhibition, so that it fulfills its didactic purpose more effectively. Undoubtedly, knowing something is the first step to being able to appreciate it, and the work of installing a temporary exhibition within an educational center entails making students aware of the world of contemporary art, and by extension, with culture.
Surely, in addition, the exhibition will have the visit of one of the artists that make up the exhibition.
