Apple’s next top model, the iPhone 15, will not arrive until autumn. However, the rumors have started to come in earnest, and we have tried to summarize some of the most important ones here.
TEST: iPhone 14 and 14 Pro
The design
It seems to be the general opinion that Apple will not deviate from its usual four new models in connection with the iPhone 15 release.
According to the leaker @ShrimpApplePro will be the same screen sizes as last year, so we can expect:
- iPhone 15
- iPhone 15 Plus
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max (her rumored that this is renamed Ultra)
Apple is also expected to make several design changes to the new iPhones. In its report, ShrimpApplePro writes on Twitter that the sharp edges will be replaced with more rounded edges, and on the Pro models the screen edge around the mobile will also be thinner.
Dynamic island for everyone
According to the leaker, all four new models will also be equipped with Apples «Dynamic Island»which was introduced to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max last fall.
Earlier, the very accurate analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the iPhone manufacturer also has plans to remove the mechanical buttons on the upcoming Pro models in favor of pressure-sensitive buttons.
These use haptic feedback, so that it feels as if you clicked on a moving mechanism without actually doing so. We know this from the home button on the iPhone 7, 8 and SE, as well as the trackpad on portable Macs.
According to the Danish technology website Input it offers advantages when it comes to the possibility of ensuring high water tightness, as there are fewer areas where water can penetrate.

To selfiekameraer
A slightly less credible rumor is that the iPhone 15 Pro Ultra may be equipped with two front cameras.
The delicious Majin Bu does not have as good a “track record” as others when it comes to Apple rumours, so the claim should be taken with a pinch of salt.
According to AppleInsider two front cameras can be used for several purposes, such as better depth data collection or greater depth of field.
First with USB-C?
There is also great excitement about whether the new iPhone models will get a USB-C port.
The EU has decided that all smartphones, plus most other consumer electronics must have the same connector. This means that Apple must replace Lightning with USB-C on the iPhone by autumn 2024.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, next year’s iPhone 15 will be the first phone from Apple with USB-C.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether that is true, but the usually reliable Mark Gurman, journalist at Bloomberg, thinks the same, writes 9to5Mac.
Following Apple’s usual launch schedule, the iPhone 15 will be launched in September 2023.
