The verdict is in! Nicolas Jackson will not be a Bournemouth player, at least not this winter. The Cherries have broken the agreement that existed between the different parties, following the failure of the player during the medical examination.
The Villarreal striker has suffered a hamstring injury in recent weeks, and after the Yellow Submarine and Bournemouth agreed a transfer deal, Nicolas Jackson failed the routine medical to sign at the English club.
As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the reason for this rupture would be caused by the nature of the injury being more serious than expected. While it was expected that the player could be ready by mid-February, doctors estimated that after the scans carried out on the player, he would be out for another month, until March.
Nicolas Jackson would therefore already be back for Villarreal. Finally, the player will not sign for Bournemouth and could rebound more quickly in the market with regard to his rating on the market during this winter. As a reminder, Bournemouth, Everton, Southampton and even AS Monaco have expressed interest in the former Casa Sports.
Understand Bournemouth deal to sign Nico Jackson is now off. Medical tests failed as he was expected to be back from hamstring injury on February 10 but Bournemouth doctors feel he won’t be ready before March 10. 🚨⛔️🍒
