Phil Spencer: Hi-Fi Rush surprise release was Bethesda’s idea

One of the unexpected and pleasant surprises of the Xbox Developer_Direct conference was the announcement Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm action game from the creators of The Evil Within. Studio Tango Gameworks not only decided to step back from its usual style and create something bright and driving, but also released the game immediately after the end of the broadcast.

As declared Phil Spencer, Bethesda came up with the idea for this surprise release:

All credit goes to Tango Gameworks, who had the idea to create something new. The surprise release proposal came from Bethesda because pleasant surprises are always great. Xbox Game Pass has made it very easy.

This release is not suitable for all games, but for Hi-Fi Rush simply amazing reaction from gamers.

Combat system Hi-Fi Rush works in synergy with the music – you get into the rhythm, get combos, the music starts playing louder, clearer, and the damage to enemies is higher. Licensed music includes The Prodigy, The Black Eyed Peas, Nine Inch Nails and more.
