12 children have died in the past two months in the village of Kpo Kahankro in central Ivory Coast from an unspecified illness. This is reported TASS with reference to AFP on Thursday, January 26.
All those who died were between one and eight years old. According to the representative of the village community, the sick fall into a stupor, which is accompanied by vomiting. Specialists visited the settlement in December 2022 to take tests. Tissue samples have not yet given scientists the opportunity to determine the cause of the deadly disease.
