Places preserve the memory of those who lived there. For the ghetto – a closed and confined place by definition – this is even more true. Rites, destinies, lives that over the centuries have had to adapt to Italian historical events, up to the tragedy of the racial laws. On the eve of Memorial Day, Rai 5 remembers the victims of the Holocaust with the episode of Visioni “La memoria del ghetto”, premiered on Thursday 26 January at 21.15: a journey through the ghettos and Giudecche of Italy to discover the relationship with the city in which they are inserted and follow their evolution. To tell the events are Riccardo Calimani, Corrado Augias and Anna Foa.
A program by Alessandra Greca, written with Emanuela Avallone, Franca De Angelis, Francesca Filiasi, Paola Mordiglia, Mirella Serri, Elena Sorrentino. Directed by Anna Tinti.
