MADRID, 26 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Nationale-Nederlanden will launch ‘Contigo Senior’ at the hands of Sanitas, a health, accident and home assistance insurance for the group of people between the ages of 55 and 85, as reported by the company.
Starting at 42.27 euros per month, this new solution includes, among other services, unlimited medical consultations in family medicine, geriatrics, and specialists, as well as dental coverage and other prevention coverage for possible health problems that may occur.
In addition, in the event of an accident, the customers of this product will receive capital, depending on the diagnosis, so that they can adapt to their new temporary situation, as well as the support of professionals who will come to their homes to help with recovery (physiotherapy or nursing) and home care.
This solution also has additional services such as telepharmacy, emergency button, accompaniment during hospitalization nights and pet care.
SPANIARDS WANT TO LIVE UP TO 101 YEARS OLD
Today the company has also presented the results of its study ‘Longevity: are we ready for a happy, long and healthy life?’, from which it can be concluded that 68% of Spaniards want a longer life at a time when the life expectancy stands at 83 years. Specifically, they would like to live to be 101 years old, dedicating those ‘extra’ years to the retirement stage in 67% of cases.
The report, in which almost 12,000 people in 11 countries (1,048 in Spain) have participated, also indicates that there is a positive relationship between health, happiness and the desire to live longer. In this case, Spain ranks first, since 80% of Spaniards boast of good health. However, the results indicate, at the same time, that health continues to be the first stress factor, especially among those over 50 years of age. A factor that would negatively affect that optimism regarding longevity and the desire to live longer.
Also in relation to stress, the report indicates that the main reasons why Spaniards suffer from it are money, uncertainty and work pressure, and the latter is more acute among people between 35 and 49 years of age. In addition, for 45% of Spaniards, job and financial security is “crucial” to be more long-lived.
