At the beginning of the project, there was a very successful board game (in the Czech Republic, the domestic version of Dragon’s Lair is better known), which became a world bestseller many years ago.
And it was precisely the copyrights that hindered and complicated the preparation of the new film for a long time. To win the game, you have to pass as certain fantasy characters through caves, face various dangers, among others. You are then guided through the story by the so-called Dungeon Master, who determines the environment and the creatures you will encounter. But the dice with numbers also decide.
In the film, the viewer meets a charming thief and a group of unlikely adventurers. It will follow their efforts to pull off a grand heist to retrieve a valuable relic. But nothing goes as smoothly as people plan.
