Event-related posts driver taxibike online (ojol) who took away groceries worth IDR 6.7 million in South Jakarta (Jaksel) went viral. Here’s the chronology.
This incident happened to a resident with the initials AP (39). AP bought spare part cell phone worth IDR 6,754,500 from a shop in a mall in the Gambir area, Central Jakarta. AP uses taxi services online to deliver the groceries to his house.
IS was chosen as driver in charge of delivering AP groceries. IS himself has taken AP groceries from the store.
However, for more than 2.5 hours, AP never received the goods he had purchased. On the app, it says that AP has received the groceries, which it doesn’t.
AP also reported this incident to the police. The AP report is registered at LP/B/176/I/2023/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA.
Of course, the AP had screenshot identity of the alleged perpetrator. Now, photos of the alleged perpetrators along with their full names have spread on social media.
The police did not stay silent with this incident. Police are now hunting for the perpetrator.
“Yes (investigated). We will follow up all incoming reports,” said South Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Ade Ary when contacted.
detikcom has contacted Grab as the ojek service operator online. However, Grab has not provided any response until this news was published.
However, in the comments column on a viral upload, Grab gave a statement regarding this embezzlement case. Grab takes firm action against the perpetrators.
“We have followed up on this report and the insurance claims submitted by related consumers have now been processed,” wrote Grab.
“The driver partner has been terminated and blacklisted (blacklist), so that it can no longer partner with Grab Indonesia,” he added.
