This means that from the point of view of international law, human rights violations in this territory can be directly responsible Russia.

It is about both the armed formation of the “people’s republics” and the human rights violations committed by Russian soldiers.

The court decision also refers to the presence of Russian soldiers in eastern Ukraine at least since April 2014, as well as the full-scale presence of the Russian army in these regions since August 2014.

Russian soldiers had a significant influence on the strategy of the separatists, they supplied them with weapons and fired artillery at the separatists’ instructions, according to the decision.

The court therefore rejected Russia’s arguments that it is impossible to consider the case “Ukraine and the Netherlands against Russia”, as it is about the territory of Ukraine, which was led by separatists.

In this case, we are talking about the disaster of the “Malaysia Airlines” airliner, in which 298 people lost their lives.

According to the decision of the Dutch court in The Hague, the plane was shot down by the Russian anti-aircraft missile system “Buk”, which was controlled by people connected to Russia.
