The Noerr law firm is further expanding its position as a leading independent law firm: On February 1, 2023, there will be a change in lawyer and tax advisor Andre Happel (43) if Equity Partner to the Frankfurt office.

Andre Happel began his legal career at Freshfields in tax law in Frankfurt and switched to Fieldfisher at the beginning of 2020. There he built up the German tax law practice. As during his time at Freshfields, his focus is on tax advice on national and international M&A transactions as well as on corporate tax law. He advises domestic and foreign corporations, banks, family-run companies, institutional and strategic investors as well as financial investors.

“With his experience and expertise, Andre Happel will work excellently with the Private Equity, Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions, Compliance & Internal Investigations practice groups and the Real Estate Investment Group,” said George Edelmanco-head of tax law at Noerr.

Andre Happel will continue to develop the Frankfurt office together with Martin Haisch, whose focus is on investment and investment tax law.

“With Andre Happel, we are strengthening our transaction tax law practice and continuing our growth course in tax law and in advising on high-quality and large-volume transaction mandates,” said Dr. Carsten Heinzco-head of the tax law practice group.

With more than 60 members, the tax law practice group advises on national and international tax matters. The portfolio ranges from tax advice on M&A/private equity transactions, fund structuring and fund investments, corporate reorganization and succession issues to tax compliance and investigation as well as judicial and extrajudicial enforcement advice.
