The police yesterday searched for information about his whereabouts with relatives of the wanted top criminal Jos Leijdekkers from Breda. Houses and an office in Breda, Prinsenbeek and Rotterdam, among others, were searched.
The parents and a sister of Leijdekkers, alias Bolle Jos, traveled to Turkey in August and December last. There, according to the Public Prosecution Service, they may have had contact with their wanted son and brother. He is suspected of large-scale cocaine trafficking and gross violence. The family members whom the police investigated are themselves suspected of laundering criminal money.
During the various searches, valuable watches and other jewelry, expensive handbags and large amounts of money were seized. This concerns tens of thousands of euros in cash and other large amounts of money in foreign currency. During the action, the police arrested two women aged 68 and 27. They are still in custody and are being interrogated.
