Pastrňák excelled, he was at all the goals. Bruins have the record, Cech is third in scoring

Thanks to his third four-point performance of the season, he moved up to third in the overseas league’s productivity chart.

David Krejčí also contributed to Tuesday’s win for the best team in the competition with a goal and an assist, and Pavel Zacha scored an assist.

Boston was losing in Montreal from the middle of the game, but thanks to the great Pastrňák, they turned the game around and became the first team in the history of the NHL to reach the eighty-point mark already in the 47th game.

“The fact that we are doing so well is largely self-confidence. We keep winning, then we play much better,” explained Pastrňák.

“But at the same time, we don’t forget about hard work and we enjoy every match. In addition, we work excellently as a team, all four lines support and help each other,” the Czech striker listed the reasons for the Boston campaign.

The star forward had a great evening starting in the 35th minute, when he found Taylor Hall, who equalized at 1:1. He scored the remaining three points in the third period. First, together with Zacha, they prepared a hit for Krejčí.

“Krejča always tells me that he is in front of the goal, so I tried to throw it there and he passed the puck brilliantly past the goalkeeper. It is mainly his goal, he got a reward for talking to me,” said Pastrňák about the interplay with his Czech teammate.

In the end, he participated in Patrice Bergeron’s winning goal and scored his 37th goal of the season 49 seconds before the end of the match, when he closed the scoring with a shot into an empty net.

The native of Havířovsk scored 10 points (4+6) in the last five games and consolidated his position as the second best scorer in the NHL. He is three goals behind leader Connor McDavid.

In addition, Pastrňák made club history by becoming the ninth Bruins player to score four points on the ice of a traditional rival.

“The matches with Montreal are always intense. It doesn’t matter who is at the top of the league and who is at the bottom, everyone can adjust their form for such a duel. You don’t want to lose against the rival. I’m glad that we broke Montreal today and were able to win.” praised the Czech gunner, who was also named the first star of the match.

Palat is already shooting again

The first goal after groin surgery was scored by Ondřej Palát, who helped New Jersey to a home win over Vegas 3:2 in overtime. Goalkeeper Vítek Vaněček scored the assist for the winning goal.

Palát opened the scoring in the 4th minute and scored his fourth goal in a season marred by injury. “It’s a great feeling. I already had some chances in the previous matches, but unfortunately I didn’t take them. Today it fell there and I can be satisfied,” the two-time Stanley Cup winner sighed.

The Golden Knights turned the score around, but did not get two points. The main contribution to the Devils’ victory was Dougie Hamilton, who arranged overtime in the 59th minute and decided it in the power play. Hamilton scored thirteen goals in the season and, together with Cal Makar from Colorado, is the third highest scoring defenseman in the NHL.

Vaneček helped the Devils with 28 saves and extended his personal winning streak to eight games. He also added an assist on Hamilton’s decisive goal to a solid performance to record Canada’s second point of his overseas career.

“It’s not just about me, the boys play excellently. They defend hard and score a lot of goals. The whole team works as it should, and that’s why we win,” stated the Czech goalkeeper, who was named the second star of the match.

Hronek defeated Hertl

After a goal pass, Filip Hronek and Tomáš Hertl scored in the match against each other. After the game, defender Hronek was more satisfied, whose Detroit defeated San Jose 3:2 in overtime at home.

Detroit won the second of its last three games. Hronek was involved in the first goal of the match and with 33 points he is the most productive Czech defenseman.

Hertl scored under Tim Meier’s equalizing goal to make it 1:1, to whom the second place in scoring among Czech hockey players belongs. Andrew Copp scored the win for the Red Wings in the 25th second of overtime.

Not even 43 saves by goalkeeper Petr Mrázek helped Chicago win on the ice of Vancouver. The Canucks, under new coach Rick Tocchet, went 5-2 to score after three games. Chicago went scoreless for the second straight time and dropped to last place in the Western Conference standings.

Anaheim came off the bottom after the win in Arizona. Defenseman Cam Fowler led the 5-2 victory with two goals and one assist. In the Coyotes goal, Connor Ingram got priority over Karl Vejmelka, who conceded four times from 42 shots.

Pavel Francouz and David Rittich did not participate in the match on Tuesday’s program either. Even without the Czech goalkeeper, Colorado defeated Washington 3:2. Winnipeg lost after two wins and missed out on a chance to return to the top of the Western Conference.

Even Radko Gudas was not happy about the win. Florida couldn’t handle the shootout in Pittsburgh and lost to the Penguins 6-7 in overtime. The win for the Penguins was scored by defenseman Kris Letang, who scored four points (2+2) in the match and played the best duel of the year.
