Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak recorded yesterday Twitter: “The Germans have already received our request to agree Leopard 2 for the transfer of tanks to Ukraine. I also call on the German side to join the coalition of countries that support Ukraine with Leopard 2 for tanks. This is our common cause, because it affects the security of all of Europe!” The Polish government had announced this month that it was ready to hand over 14 tanks to Ukraine Leopard.

Pistorius announced at the press conference after the meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Berlin yesterday that there is no decision on the supply of tanks yet. “There is no news that can be announced at this moment. I have said that a decision will be made soon, and I can only assume that it will happen,” said the minister. He also added that in case of a positive decision, Germany would act quickly.
ABC Newsreferring to a Ukrainian official, says that if Germany agrees Leopard for transfer to Ukraine, 12 countries have expressed their readiness to supply it with around 100 such tanks.
