Al-Marsad Newspaper: Major Khaled Al-Kreides, spokesperson for the Anti-Beggery Campaign, revealed the fate of children caught for beggary crimes.
He said during an interview with the “Yahla” program broadcast on the Gulf Rotana channel: “There is a social protection unit that deals with cases, and the anti-beggary system provides for a case study, in terms of need. If they are citizens, they are directed to the official charitable bodies and deal with them.
And he continued: All those who are caught are provided with the necessary health care if necessary, and the necessary subsistence is provided and they are referred to the competent authority.
He added: People who are caught as members of the same family are referred to the Expatriates Department, which assumes the tasks as a competent authority with regard to dealing with violators of work and residence regulations, and all those caught in this process are violators of work and residence regulations.
