According to the police, some users from the Furth im Wald area reported inquiries and messenger messages sent from the profile of a young woman named “Lisa Wittmann”. If such a request is accepted, the other party usually gains access to information that is not actually visible to outsiders, for example the list of Facebook friends.
Profile “Lisa Wittmann” was a fake
But behind the young woman was actually a blackmailer who was specifically looking for potential victims via the Internet platform. A man from Furth im Wald noticed the scam, warned his friends about it and reported the profile on Facebook.

A 31-year-old person didn’t have that much acumen. A harmless chat was followed by a meeting via video call last Saturday. The victim was seduced into showing himself naked and engaging in sexual acts.
Blackmailer records video
However, the victim was not aware that the video chat was recorded by the other party. The blackmailer threatened to send the footage to the victim’s friends list and upload it to the internet. To prevent this, the person should pay money.
Instead, the victim broke off contact and filed a complaint with the police. The profile of “Lisa Wittmann” has since been deleted from Facebook. The police are investigating and warning against accepting friend requests or messenger messages if the person is unknown.
